Story Workshop Spring 2015: Listening Event

Date

Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 7 p.m., Community Hall, 68 Water Street, Woods Hole, MA

TSWSP2015_listeningflier-720x396Nine Transom Story Workshop students have spent eight weeks learning the craft of telling stories with sound. Join us for a public listening event on Thursday, May 21 at 7:00 at The Community Hall in Woods Hole to celebrate their work and ask them questions. It’s free.

Of this year’s event, executive director Jay Allison says, “For us locals, this graduation ceremony is like unwrapping presents. The students have found wonderful stories hiding in plain sight on the Cape, Coast and Islands. Then they use the skills they’ve learned to present them, like a gift, to all of us who live here.”

The listening event will precede a brief graduation ceremony and the public is urged to join us in applauding the students of the Spring 2015 Transom Story Workshop.

[Note: We are now accepting applications for the Fall 2015 Transom Story Workshop. Master radio instructor Rob Rosenthal, along with a teaching assistant, will run the 8-week program for nine beginning producers. If you would like to be added to our Workshop e-mail list, please write to us at info at transom.org.]
