Since the inception of the Transom Story Lab, it’s been a goal of ours to engage with the scientific community. Woods Hole, Transom’s home for 25 years, is a town of science. There are six world-class scientific institutions that also call Woods Hole home, and together they employ more than two thousand people. Our mission to collaborate with this community became more vital this winter and spring when major cuts to the federal budget gravely threatened the groundbreaking work these scientists were engaged in — and the very economy of the town itself.
