APM piloted and now produces a weekly feature for WCAI called “The Local Food Report”, with Elspeth Hay. An avid locavore, Hay explores the Cape, Islands and South Coast, visiting farmer’s markets, and growers on their home grounds, to find out what’s good, what’s growing and what to do with it. She ranges outside the vegetable garden, talking with wine producers, cheese makers, beef farmers, and anyone else she comes across who embraces the local food movement. Tips from listeners are always welcome, and online photographs and recipes provide appealing accents to the audio.
